Corporate governance

The Smiths Group plc Board of Directors believes that good corporate governance is about helping to run the company well. It involves ensuring that an effective framework of systems and controls is in place which clearly defines authority and accountability, which promotes success, while permitting the management of risk to appropriate levels.

Principles of Corporate Governance

The Directors’ Report within the Annual Report 2017 provides a summary of the Group’s procedures for applying the principles of corporate governance and the extent to which such principles have been applied.
